He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Chapman University Law School in the school's taxation program.

He lives in southern California, where he is involved with several charitable organizations, including Financial and Estate Literacy, Inc., the Laguna Beach High School Scholarship Foundation, and the Tustin Police Foundation. Brian Y. Chou is an Attorney at the law firm of Barth Calderon LLP and his practice focuses on estate planning, asset protection, business succession planning, trust administration, and Probate.
