Dr. Freedman-Harvey will focus on the types of information/data that underlies an assessment of capacity:
functional and behavioral observations from day-to-day, as well as measures and tests that psychologists use.
With examples, he’ll connect the assessments with the actions taken for protection from abuse, neglect or undue influence

Dr. Gary Freedman-Harvey, PhD, is a licensed Psychologist with over 22 years of experience. He specializes in the areas of Geriatrics (Geropsychology), Elder Abuse Assessment, Mental Capacity Assessment, Undue Influence, and Forensic Evaluations. With geriatric psychology as his primary focus for the past 12 years, he has conducted over 1,000 assessments. Dr. Freedman-Harvey offers services to probate attorneys, trust litigation attorneys, County Counsel, District Attorneys, and Public Defenders. He has provided Expert Witness testimony and written reports for probate conservatorships in Superior Courts of Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside Counties.
